DE POSJES FOSSIL FARM ACCOMMODATION was established to promote and enhance the unique geological and fossil experience as well as to appreciate the legacy of the pioneer farmers.
The accommodation is an open plan unit sleeping six.
It has an equipped kitchen, bathroom, including a shower and bath. There is just enough solar electricity for lights and a fridge.
Warm water is retrieved by way of gas heaters.

The farm is located on a 15 000 hectare farm 50 km south of Fraserburg, Northern Cape. It is a working sheep and Angora goat farm.
The farm has a rich history and has three corbel houses, about 200 years old. Specialized stone walls form part of the legacy of the pioneer farmers.
A 4×4 route follows the “Pos Roete” passed a Karoo waterfall.
The big attraction is the unique fossil and geological treasures.
Two rock formations, the Abrahamskraal and Theekloof formation come together resulted in spectacular views and huge mudrock sand dunes.
This geological occurrence resulted in a big deposit of fossil remains, 255 million years old.
The “Fossil Hunting Tour” take you back in time with fossils in their original habitat.
A registered tour guide oversees all activities.
Accommodation at De Posjes Fossil farm entitled you to a discount of 20% on the fossil footprint tour as well as the fossil hunting tour.
The cost of the accomodation is R 600 per unit per night, (sleeping six) with a minimum of two nights.
